It was an absolute dream to host our wedding at the Highlands Country Club. Danielle and her team were absolutely fantastic with EVERYTHING! From the moment we signed our contract any little question or detail we needed help on Danielle was there to answer. Danielle was so easy and care-free to work with making sure all of our requests were taken care of with a smile on her face. The planning went so smoothly and the day of couldn’t have been more perfect. They set up our decorations even better than we envisioned. The food was delicious and our guests still rave about it. The customer service was top notch. They made sure we were on schedule the entire day and they took care of our every need. The venue itself is so beautiful and rustic it was everything we could have hoped for. We had the entire grounds to take pictures before our ceremony which was fantastic and they even provided a golf cart to take us to all the different areas on the course. I wish i could re-live this day over & over. Thank you Highlands for making our dream wedding come true. You truly are the best!

My husband and I are from NYC and knew we wanted to get married upstate in the Hudson Valley. When we walked into Highlands Country Club, it was love at first sight. This is not your standard stuffy country club. It’s elegant with its huge crystal chandelier in the ballroom and white columns outside, but it has this rustic chic feel to it that was right up our alley with its farmhouse tables and barn outside. They also offered golfing on the morning of for the boys which sealed the deal for my husband. And if the venue didn’t sell us immediately (which it did), the PEOPLE were what got us to sign on the dotted line. Danielle, who was our point of contact all year and our day-of coordinator made you feel like your wedding was the only one that mattered throughout our entire engagement period. I did not stress about a single thing once we got to the venue and were able to enjoy our entire reception knowing everything was taken care of. Choose this venue for your wedding. You won’t regret it.

Could not be happier!! My husband and I got married at Highlands Country Club about a month ago, and we loved everything about our experience. Danielle and the entire staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding went SO smoothly, and we and our guests were all treated like gold. There are so many beautiful details throughout the venue, and for us it was the perfect size for our 110 person wedding. ALSO, I can’t fail to mention the food. We were nervous not to have a traditional “tasting” before we selected our menu, but we ate at their restaurant over at The Garrison to get a sense of the cuisine. Everything on our menu was delicious and we received lots of compliments from our guests. Our wedding day came together better than I ever could have imagined. I highly recommend Highlands!

Danielle and the staff at HCC were amazing. She was so helpful from the very first time we contacted her. She worked with us and was so kind. She made sure everything on our day was perfect and it was! She was always available to answer questions and very responsive to all emails. The food was delicious as well!

Maria - The Knot/WeddingWire - 9/15/2017

My daughter’s wedding was there this past weekend on 9/9/17. I cannot say enough about this venue, Danielle, Stephanie and the entire Highlands CC team. First, the venue. It is so beautiful. It was exactly what my daughter & son-in-law wanted. The food was delicious. The staff so friendly and professional. Danielle was so accommodating, even when we had last minute changes. There just aren’t enough words to explain how happy I am with HCC. I highly recommend this venue if you want something that is not cookie-cutter, more on the elegant, yet understated type venue. Thank you Danielle and HCC team for bringing Jovan & Justin’s dream wedding to life.

My husband and I were married here in July - we visited the venue in December and booked that day! It didn’t hurt that they were able to offer us a reduced rate because the date was within a short range. We booked with Bridget Bell, and mid-way through the process, Danielle West took over as Bridget was transferred to their sister property - both women were FABULOUS. Danielle was indispensable on the big day - made sure everything went smoothly. The venue is GORGEOUS, and even my picky guests were raving about the food. This whole process could not have gone better, I highly recommend this venue to anyone.

My husband and I got married here on September 8th 2017 and when I say our wedding was perfect I mean it was PERFECT. The staff executed my vision exactly as I would have myself. I truly felt at ease the entire night and I was able to be present on my day like so many brides aren’t able to be because they handled everything. Connie was absolutely amazing! I had several people tell us that this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and that the venue was timeless and beautiful. I am so thankful to the the staff at Highlands for making my dream come true and for making my year and a half of endless planning feel worth every minute.

My wife and I were married at Highlands Country Club in Garrison, NY in June 2017 and we had an outstanding experience! We worked with Bridget and Danielle in planning our event and both made the experience very easy and stress-free for us. When it came to the day of, the preparations were all spot on and everything went off without a hitch. The ballroom and outdoor spaces were the perfect size for our guests (about 80), and everyone had a great time. The food, wine, and cocktails were all excellent. Connie, our assistant for the day, really did a great job taking care of us, making sure we had everything we needed and always keeping a fresh drink in our hands! We would highly recommend Highlands Country Club for a NYC area wedding when you are looking for a good mix of modern and rustic touches, and are expecting ~80-100 guests.

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful the Highlands Country Club is. I got married here on June 30th, 2017 and am still receiving compliments from guests. Danielle West is an absolute pleasure to work with! She helped to make our day something that I will never forget. Everything that day went so smoothly, even when I was feeling overwhelmed. It was like Danielle knew what to do before I could even begin to think. She was able to solve situations before I even had a moment to think about them. I cannot thank her, or the rest of the Highlands Country Club team enough for making my day one I will never forget.

Bridget - WeddingWire - 7/22/2017

My husband and I celebrated our marriage at Highlands Country Club two weekends ago and cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. Everything went so smoothly and we received so many compliments on the venue. Everyone always had plenty of food and the drinks were constantly flowing. The level of professionalism of the entire staff of Highlands is unmatched. Working with Danielle was a complete dream. She made the whole process so seamless and was so accommodating. Not to mention the venue is absolutely stunning! I highly recommend it!

I knew I wanted something unique and beautiful for my wedding and I was so happy when I found Highlands Country Club! We worked with Danielle who was attentive and so sweet throughout the whole process. The main reception area has a large ballroom with two large working fireplaces on either end (how pretty would that be for a fall/winter wedding!) and a beautiful chandelier in the center (think a Jane Austen-style ball). We had planned to have the wedding outside on the lawn but due to weather we had it indoors in the atrium and I actually think that I preferred having it there! This is the perfect place if you want an outdoor wedding ceremony but are too OCD to handle the chance that the weather could be bad (that’s me!). The atrium was beautiful- little candles strung about and the soft drum of the rain made it feel intimate and so personal. The food was delicious and guests kept commenting to us on how nice everyone was that worked there. I loved this location for its historic feel and would have literally moved into it if possible- it was that beautiful! Thank you again to Danielle and her team- they made the day flow flawlessly!!

The reception was perfect. The food was amazing. The appetizers and Italian station at cocktail hour were delicious! The food at the reception was delicious! The service was excellent. My husband and I got VIP treatment! The space was a perfect canvas to make our own. Danielle and her staff are amazing and my wedding was absolutely perfect. The party was epic. The day was a dream and I have my vendors to thank for that! Highlands Country Club was the best venue I ever could have picked or asked for, the surpassed our wildest expectations!

I knew as soon as soon as I saw this venue this would be the one! Highlands Country Club is an absolutely stunning place to get married. We worked with Bridget and she went above and beyond to make our day so special. She is extremely knowledgable of the whole wedding planning process and all the little “day of” things that need to get done. Bridget and the rest of the staff at HCC really made our wedding planning process with them seamless. We had nothing to worry about the day of! They don’t allow food tastings since everything is farm to table, so we judged other reviews. The food was fantastic! Best wedding food we’ve ever had. We also received a lot of comments about how great the food was. Overall an amazing place to get married and was a huge contributor in making us have the best day of our life! Thank you Highlands Country Club!!

Five stars isn’t enough to describe Highlands Country Club! From the moment my husband and I walked into the venue and met with Bridget Bell, we knew that was the place where we would get married. Working with Bridget and her team was a dream- they completely understood our vision and my insane attention to detail. Communication from the moment we met was streamlined and made us feel like we were the only wedding they were working on. We rarely heard no and if we did it came with options that were just as great. Our theme was Classic Romance and we got it with Highlands Country Club. Its been over a month and we are still hearing from guests about the venue, food (everyone loved!), service, overall décor, atmosphere and flow. It wasn’t just a memorable wedding but a magical day!

Sarah - The Knot - 11/11/2016

This was the first venue my husband and I visited and we fell in love immediately. HCC fit our vision for the wedding perfectly: intimate, charming, elegant and rustic. We worked with Bridget who was responsive to all of our e-mails and was extremely helpful the day of the wedding. Everything ran smoothly the day of and the space and decor looked beautiful. Our guests were raving about the food and loved having the option to dance inside or relax outside by the fire pits. We had 150 guests (the max) and we felt there was enough space for everyone to be comfortable and enjoy themselves.

Over all my husband and I highly recommend the Highlands Country Club, you won’t be disappointed!

Kate - The Knot - 10/27/2016

My Husband and I got married at the Highlands Country Club on August 19th, 2016. We could have not asked for a more perfect day! Everything and everyone went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. My bridesmaids kept telling me while we were getting ready that I was so calm for a bride. This was because of Bridget and her staff at Highlands Country Club. They made me feel so comfortable and made sure everything went smoothly. I just felt like there was nothing for me to worry about and just enjoyed my day.

During the planning process Bridget was very prompt with any questions I had and she and the chef were very accommodating to the requests we had. My husband is Serbian and we really wanted to incorporate some food from Serbia into the wedding. We were able to bring in some cheese and spreads from the region and Bridget and staff did such a great job presenting these items during cocktail hour.
On the wedding day we started in bridal suite which was just great. My bridal party and I were served a nice spa lunch and champagne and it just allowed us to really enjoy the getting ready part and feel relaxed.

The wedding and reception was just perfect! Our guests had nothing, but great things to say about the evening. They raved about the venue, the staff and the food. Everything was just perfect, I go on forever. I highly recommend the Highlands Country Club and wish I could relive our wedding again!

Cynthia - The Knot - 4/13/2016

This place MADE our wedding! My husband and I worked closely with the lovely Danielle from day one. She made the whole process of booking, planning, and executing our vision seem like a walk in the park. The venue itself is breathtaking, with greenery all around, a huge chandelier, and the perfect amount of old-world charm. Add in the delicious food, the fabulous staff, and the open bar, and the perfect wedding is a cinch. Our guests were enchanted by the place, they complimented the staff several times, and their plates were practically licked clean. The bridal suite is extremely helpful for getting ready and for touch-ups during the party as well. Danielle and her staff know how to throw a wedding, but the Highlands is by no means a wedding factory. They put such care into the details and personalizing of a couple’s day that each wedding is unique. My husband and I will look so fondly on the memories of April 9th, 2016, all thanks to the Highlands Country Club, Danielle, and the wonderful staff.

Beth - WeddingWire - 12/12/2015

Loved, the Highlands Country Club! In the beginning of our wedding venue search a few things were really important to us- we did not want a typical wedding factory. It was really important that the venue we choose did not hold multiple parties/weddings per day. We also did not want a venue with ugly carpet…The second most important thing for us was the FOOD. We wanted GOOD food and BOOZE. Not quantity (over the top cocktail hour that makes you dizzy) but quality (something that melted in your mouth)…The food here is farm to table. They also use seasonal veggies. The food was amazing- we had the slow cooked ribs in a truffle oil sauce (it melted in your mouth)! The salmon was also amazing. The booze was flowing and NOT watered down. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and intimate. It is a perfect setting for a wedding of 100-120 guests. It is all hardwood floors with two grand fireplaces (that WORK!)and a grand chandelier. My favorite part of the venue is that you really DO NOT need additional light
The Planning:At first we had one wedding planner- but she left and we then had Bridget as our planner. Bridget was great- she answered all of my emails (a lot of them), she was super flexible and really attentive! The best part is this venue and Bridget’s flexibility. Bridget worked with me and my vendors and was extremely flexible about working with my vendors and accommodating all of my ideas. She even helped me go back and forth on some tough decisions and helped guide me without pressuring me ever. She kept us really organized and day of she took control of the party and made sure everything went as planned and perfect. Also, with bridget was a bridal assistant that was amazing and SOOO helpful. It was so great to be able to trust someone to manage everything and it was perfect. Read More.

Danielle - WeddingWire - 10/30/2015

If you are considering the Highlands, do yourself a favor and look no further. I really struggled to find a wedding venue for our fall wedding. I had an idea of what I wanted, I knew I did not want a wedding hall but was not familiar with the area, which left a lot of choices. The Highlands was the last of seven venues we looked at and upon arrival I knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. We got married on 10/30/15 on the most beautiful fall day and it was truly perfect and all that we wanted. You have to see the venue itself, photos don’t do it justice, but you could not bring in decor at all and still have a beautiful wedding there. Every detail of the venue is beautiful. The staff is amazing, Bridget and her team were always there for me. I emailed her ALL the time and she always got back to me and there to help. The day of, the staff was just incredible and there for whatever you needed and there to guide you through everything. And the food!!! The food is incredible, all of my guests were complimenting it and saying that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. People were raving about it the next day at our farewell brunch. My guests also raved about the wait and bar staff, and just said how wonderful they were. I went for a rustic fall theme, but the room and space allows you to really do whatever theme you want and it will work. It is just a beautiful place with wonderful people running it who will help make your day perfect. I know everyone says their wedding was the best, but mine really was and I am so happy I chose to have it at the Highlands. I can’t say enough good things here to even do it justice. Read More.

My husband and I were married at Highlands in April 2015. We worked with Danielle who was absolutely wonderful and completely organized throughout the entire process. We loved the historic, warm and cozy feel of the space as soon as we walked in. Although it can hold more, we had a small wedding of about 70 and were very comfortable. We had a lovely ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors followed by dinner and dancing inside the main room. We had warm weather though and guests were able to flow inside and outside throughout the evening as they wished. The food was incredible and far exceeded the typical bland and forgettable “wedding food” served at most venues (we highly recommend the short ribs!). We really can’t thank Danielle and the lovely staff at Highlands enough. The day was exactly what we wanted and we’re still talking about it! Read More.

We were very happy with our venue, Highlands Country Club, and highly recommend them. I wanted a small, elegant, relaxed and fun wedding with great food and Highlands Country Club was excellent. From meeting with our coordinator (Danielle) to planning to the actual event, my husband and I greatly appreciated the expert handling of our wedding. It was reassuring to have such professional, warm, patient and friendly support during our big day, which went smoothly thanks in no small part to Danielle and her team. The grounds were gorgeous, fresh and just what I had in mind for an outdoor ceremony. The food was excellent and even better than I expected. And best of all for this low-maintenance bride, Highlands handled things so well that I didn’t have to go crazy with wedding planning. Read More.
